dublin, day 4

today we went to a city by the name of KILKENNY. this was the city everyone said was a party town, but it really wasn't worth the approx. 1 hr drive. just a few blocks of shops, nothing special, been there done that. we had lunch and went to the castle there, called kilkenny castle. if you've ever been to a castle in europe (let's take the versailles palace), then you won't really appreciate kilkenny castle, because it could fit in versaille's foyer. luckily we got the tour for free because we met the tourguides last night in the club/pub. so ya, kilkenny was nothing special and not worth the trip, and the castle there is also nothing to rave about.

last night we went to a club/pub and met the tourguides of the kilkenny castle there. what's interesting was that the music at the club was SOOOO different from what we're used to. it was like oldies/80's music and the guys and girls danced the same. when we go to clubs in the US the guys dance different from the girls, but the dancing here by the guys was extremely effeminate, as in they would bounce around exactly the same as the girls. just an interesting observation. it was definitely weird dancing to their music; we felt a little out of place.

tomorrow we're supposed to go to the Guinness factory for a tour that chris already reserved us online before we even arrived in dublin, and the day after we are to leave for barcelona at 7am (not looking forward to that flight time).

will update soon...
